Introduction
I have always possessed a desire to be a programmer. Recent events have enabled me to actively pursue the dream. I need to meet and learn from real professionals so I can be effective in my transition.
What topics would you like to discuss here?
What do professional programmers spend their time doing? How should I dress? What skills are marketable?
What are your experiences with PHP?
Self-taught and my only experience is on my own web sites.
Tell us about you!
I am 57 years old, married, no kids (two dogs) and currently unemployed. I have AA/IT and CompTIA Linux+ certification. I have been a hobbyist programmer since the 1990s. I desperately need to establish some demonstrable experience in IT.
